Tonight we are going to talk about pride as we look at a number of kings of Israel and Judah, but focus our attention on two of them:  Amaziah and Azariah (or Uzziah) in Judah.  One of them suffers from personal pride, and the other from spiritual pride, both of which are deadly when it comes to serving the Lord.  Pride is trusting ourselves more than trusting God.  Pride is self-trust, self-protection, and self-gratification rather than trusting in God and glorifying God.
