The three parables in this Chapter are found only in The Gospel of Luke, among the four Gospels.  What's a parable?  The word in the Greek means "a placing beside; a comparison; or an equivalent".  In simple terms, a parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning.  This Chapter shows us the attitude of God towards the person who is lost, and compares God's attitude with ours.
