Luke alone, of the Gospel writers, records the occasion of Jesus going to dinner at the home of one of the chief Pharisees.  Jesus takes this opportunity to give His host, and the guests that are present, a great lesson in ettiquete.  Two other parables in this chapter are not found in the other Gospels:  The parable of building the tower, and; The parable of the king preparing to go to war.
