The fact that Jesus had to pray while He was ministering here on earth is proof enough that we also need to pray!  Jesus prayed ast His baptism, before He chose the twelve, at the Mount of Transfiguration, before His arrest, on the cross, and at many other times.  I'm sure there are numerous time that Jesus prayed which are not recorded in the Scriptures.  In Chapter 11, we have what most Bibles label as "The Lord's Prayer", but it should more properly be called "The Disciple's Prayer", because it contains things that do not pertain to Jesus Christ.
