The Book of Leviticus is a book on the holiness of God.  In Chapter 25, we will now focus on Israel in regards to the land and their economy.  The Laws given in this Chapter could not be enforced until the nation of Israel had enetered the Promised Land.  These rules and regulations are tied directly to the land.  They could not possibly have been adapted to the wandering in the wilderness.
