The Book of Leviticus - Chapter 23

Chapter 23 of The Book of Leviticus outlines the holy holidays, or feasts, that God instituted for the nation of Israel.  Most of these were times of joy and rejoicing, with the exception of The Great Day of Atonement, which was a time of mourining for the sins of the naton.  These holy convocations, or assemblies, are also called "appointed times", "set times", "sacred assemblies" or "holy seasons".   There are seven feasts, not to include the Sabbath Day, which we will see in this chapter.  The Sabbath was not a feast day, but it is the yardstick for the measurement of the times of the feasts.
