The Book of Leviticus - Chapters 21 & 22

In Chapters 11 through 20 of The Book of Leviticus, we've been studying the Law as it relates to the people.  Now we come to a section that deals with the Law as it relates to the personal purity of the priests.  It was God's original intention that the entire nation of Israel be a kingdom of priests (Exodus 19:5-6).  God's desire was that Israel would be a perfect and ideal society, but the incident with the golden calf (Exodus Chapter 32), while Moses was on Mount Sinai, eliminated that possibility.
