In the remaining chapters of the Book of Judges, Chapters 17-21, we have again the recurring theme that runs throughout the Book.  Altogether, Israel went through seven periods of apostasy.  This gives the philosophy of history.  Every nation goes down in this order:

• Religious Apostasy
• Moral Wickedness
• Political Anarchy - the final stage of a nation
