In Judges Chapter 5, Israel had been delivered from the hand of Sisera by Deborah and Barack.  But, they go right back to serving the Baals, and abandoning thier relationship with Yahweh.  First, God reminds them of why they are in this situation, and then He calls a most unlikely  hero - Gideon - to rescue them.  First, from thier apostasy, then from their oppression.  It should give us hope - if God can use Gideon, then God can use anyone, even us!!
